Salamanca was the best secret on the costa del sol. After 25 years I don't mind sharing it with a few others! The restaurat has recently increased in size due to its popularity.3 course menu now slightly extended and a 22 euro option available, but try the 9 euro menu first. For example a plate of freshly cooked kig prawns (shells on & covered in sea salt),steak (ridiculous value and cooked to perfection) or tender sliced fillets of pork, all served with a small salad &"patato pobre"or chips (usually at night!) Bread and half a bottle of wine per person included on the 9 euros! Go mad and spend an extra euro and have a bottle of sparkling casera to lighten the wine,Oh and if the mainly home made deserts don't tempt you try a Carahio....small cup of strong black coffee with a dash of brandy....what the lorry drivers have for breakfast...tell the staff(who remainly mainly the same after 25 years) Smith sent you!
ps unfortunately they are now closed on a Thursday, every other day and night open....booking advisable...definitely for Sunday lunch!
