There are two sides to the elegant resort of Puerto Banus.  By day, visitors enjoy the seaside cafés, the superb beachside restaurants and the designer shops and boutiques dotted along the marina.  Some of Europe´s biggest yachts are moored here, and there is no better place to people-watch than Sinatra´s Bar at the entrance to the port. But there is much more to Puerto Banus than designer shops. Enjoy a trip round the fabulous El Corte Ingles store,  situated just at the back of Antonio Banderas Square. Also look around the Cristamar Shopping Centre and Marina Banus, where you will find some great shops.

The widest range of food is available in Puerto Banus, and whether you fancy a pint of Guinness and a toasted sandwich, chicken kebabs, sushi, fresh lobster or a pizza with the kids, you will find it here.  Most of the livelier bars boast live music at the weekends, and many host special party nights and promotions including happy hour, where drinks are reduced by as much as 50%. Try Picassos on the front line for fantastic pizzas and pasta, or Linekers Bar on the second line of the Marina for some fabulous party nights and live sports.

Not just for the adults, this lively resort also offers families a host of entertainment and amenities including the excellent Sea Life Centre, which is situated at the western end of the Marina where the big boats are moored. Here you can feed the fish and sea mammals while learning about their natural habitats.  There is also an indoor fun centre near the main shopping area to keep the kids out of mischief.

Water sports are widely available on the two beaches either side of the Marina, and you can get lessons on water-skiing, kite-surfing, paragliding and kite surfing. Safety is a priority and only experienced instructors are allowed to run courses and give instruction. If you want to top up your tan and chill out, the Levante Beach at the eastern end of Puerto Banus is the best place to soak up the rays. Another great family trip is the boat trip to Marbella, which leaves Puerto Banus every hour. You might even see some dolphins on the way. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes and you can pay for a single or return trip.

When the sun sets, Puerto Banus really comes to life.  Pavement cafés, fish restaurants and a host of superb late night bars open their doors to welcome crowds of partygoers from all over the Costa del Sol. You are spoilt for choice where restaurants are concerned, and the late night crowd are never disappointed.  Whether you fancy a game of snooker, a trip to a pole dancing club, a 70´s disco night, or relaxing to the sound of a Spanish guitar after dinner, you will find it all in Puerto Banus. If you want to enjoy some hot clubbing sounds, try Tibu Banus. If elegance and style is more your thing, visit the famous Olivia Valere Club on the Golden Mile between Puerto Banus and Marbella.
